Shiny, Happy JT: 1st Post

Okay, this is technically my 468th post but it’s my first post in the new place so to celebrate I’m bringing you some beauty that made me smile when I saw it last night.

You know how the RAniverse has been just beside itself over the new Sarah Dunn pictures of boyfriend being giggly? I love those, too, but this for me is something more. This guy is the reason my RA crush stays pretty mellow most of the time. All those intense feelings that I love reading about you all working through? I had them for him. That smile there is the flash of an old soul residing in a 54-year-old body that’s experienced unbelievable highs and lows, triumphs and failures, addiction and recovery. He hasn’t just survived, he’s thrived and while I adored him as a teen, I deeply admire and respect him as an adult. He doesn’t need it from me but he has it anyway.

Sooo…I’ll be getting situated in the new digs for a bit so please be patient. As soon as I figure out which box I left YouTube in we should be good. Have a great day whatever you’re doing!

I remember being around 10 years old or so and staying up on New Year’s Eve so I could see Duran Duran perform on Mtv. I was sooo tired, but very determined! “Wild Boys” is one of the top played songs on my mp3 player 😉

OMG – you on WP?????????????? Hail hail hail. (Sorry, am simultaneously watching Python’s Holy Grail. My language suffers.) No, this is brilliant, so good, because even though I still prefer Blogger to WP (much easier too use), it always annoyed me that I got no notifications of new posts from you. Well *click* that’s now a thing of the past. Welcome to the holy grail, eh, halls of WP. and follow follow follow.
As for good old John – oh, I am a fellow Duran fan, Jazzy. Alas, it was Simon Le Bon for me. John was always that little bit too beautiful for me. Did you take that pic, ie meet him? That’s a story I would love to read.
Looking forward to your new postings (and btw – are you pulling your Blogger posts over here? You can, you know!)

John occupied a place of honor on my college dorm room wall. What a great photo–so nice to see he looks well. He is still so handsome!

Glad to see you are now at WordPress. It will be easier to follow you.

I also liked JT back in the day. I never able to have posters or pictures on my walls so I keep the magazines I had hide. Duran Duran was one of my favorite bands in the day.
