It’s Groundhog Day and a few hours ago Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. Blick and yuck. While I was watching the Super Bowl (or The Missy Elliot Show) last night, school cancellations for today were scrolling on the bottom of the screen and Puxsutawney’s School District was among them due to a huge winter storm that rolled in yesterday afternoon and last night. Yes, I snickered, and I’m going to keep snickering because of course I have to go watch Bill Murray now. Have a great Groundhog Day whatever you’re doing!

The halftime show wasn’t to my taste, but my 4 year old daughter was fixated. Especially the part with the beach balls. Lol

And I was disappointed at how brief his part of the show was. It seemed like they were trying to please everyone but they didn’t give me enough.

I love that the Puxsutawney’s School District cancellation just scrolled across your screen. It really sounds like a name made up for a movie, doesn’t it? I just checked Netflix and Groundhog Day is unavailable to stream. It sounded like a great idea to watch on a snowy day. This is the third thing I was interested in watching in the last day that they don’t have 😦

Punxsutawney is about an hour’s drive from me so we’re covered by the same local news stations. 🙂 I have Groundhog Day on DVD…is it on Amazon Streaming maybe?
